Interesting fact. People tends to expect life-time support for free, or one-time-purchase softwares. People gets mad when open-source projects like redis or docker changed to non-free license, even though they can still use the old versions without any problem. People gets mad when a free-software is discontinued. (e.g. Arc Browser) Even though they can still use the old versions. It might break over time, but that's how other physical products work. People pay money to fix the physical products they bought. But they expect free-update for software products.Examples
